Occasionally, sign companies across the country are asked to perform local installs for sign companies in other states. Pinnacle Signs and Graphics recently was contracted to install a vehicle wrap for the local Frosty Freeze ice cream truck. A company in Florida shipped us the printed vinyl and we performed the install for them. The local Frosty Freeze had a new refrigerated truck and Blue Bunny was the ice cream featured in the vehicle wrap. One of the real challenges for this wrap was getting around all the stainless steel hinges and hardware. This hardware is installed with a silicone-based adhesive and you have to remove all traces of the silicone from the truck surface to get the graphic to adhere close to the hinges. Once we worked around all the hinges and door hardware, the sides of the truck were pretty simple. Tricky part is getting the seams and lines positioned correctly where the graphics overlap. This particular wrap used Avery 1005 Easy Apply RS with the new DOL 1360 laminate. Little different tackiness than the 3M, but worked very well. Even had my daughter helping us with this one, grabbing magnets and helping pull the vinyl or hold the heat gun. She was great help this summer.
