Pinnacle Signs just finished this beautiful monument sign for the Sylvan Meadows subdivision in Black Forest. This new monument sign replaced a routed wooden panel sign that had been in place for many years and was definitely showing the wear. We couldn’t do this alone and asked Dick at Wilhelm Monument to do the engraving and Ryan Clark with Good Old Boys to do the stonework. The slab came from Arkins Park Stone near Loveland and Wilhelm Monument did a fabulous job engraving the artwork. It took a little effort from all three companies to get this 1 ton slab in place safely and without damage. It was bigger than originally intended as the first slab was damaged coming down the hill so we had to select a second slab via pictures. The slab worked fine, except it was thicker and heavier that the first one. Ryan and his crew did a great job enclosing the slab in El Dorado La Plata bluff stack stone. It is nice to be able to use local businesses to complete this project. The berm that the sign sits on is well above grade so calling 811 confirmed there were no utilities we had to worry about. We were also fortunate that the weather cooperated with temperatures above freezing, it certainly made the install a little easier than it could have been in early November.
